In an ideal world, you would be able to pick up the phone and order a taxi straight away. However, in real life, that is not always the case.

There are not a large number of licensed taxis in Shetland and therefore hailing a taxi cannot necessarily be relied upon. The only regularly used taxi rank in Shetland is on Victoria Pier in Lerwick so we would recommend booking your taxi in advance if you plan to travel from any other point in Shetland.

If you are planning ahead and require a taxi more than a day (24 hours) in advance, you have a choice of either telephoning to make your advance booking or by completing the form below.

With advance bookings, we can assure you that your taxi will be waiting for you at the designated time and place. We will call you on the telephone number you have provided or send a message to your e-mail address to confirm your booking.
